Ray J Speaks Publicly About Whitney Houston’s Death, Says ‘I’m Still Hurting’

During a recent charity event for the brotherhood crusade and Mothers In Action, R&B singer Ray J finally spoke publicly about the death of Whitney Houston insisting, “I really miss my friend, I really do…I’m still hurting.”

“I just wanna say, like Whitney, I love giving back to the kids, I love helping my community,” Ray J told a room full of reporters about his day of service. “I’ve been a part of the brotherhood crusade and working with them since I was sixteen years old.”

As far as the death of his friend Whitney, the “One Wish” singer said, “It’s just such a tough time for me, I’ve been through a lot in these past two weeks, I’m able to look at life in a whole different way.”

He then took a moment proclaiming, “I always look at my phone because I got a picture of somebody that I really love and it helps me through the day.”

Ray J also told reporters about his current state: “This is all new for me, I’m really emotional right now, I really don’t know really what to say. But what I will say is I love and I’m hurt, but I enjoy being around people that support me and that gives me a sense of peace and that’s what these kids do for me.

He adds: “God is talking to me…God is talking to me right now and now is the time to listen, so my ears are open.”
