X Factor USA finalist Rachel Crow has completed a deal that will put her on the same label as Beyonce, Adele and Celine Dion.
Crow has signed with Columbia Records, in connection with Simon Cowell’s Syco, to release a debut album.
Hoping to record a “spunky” album, that she says is “just gonna be me,” Crow was ecstatic about the news following her tearful elimination from the X Factor last year.
“Columbia is awesome for me,” says Crow. “This is the top, which is really cool.”
Rachel Crow joins Chris Rene, Marcus Canty and Astro, all who have inked similar deals in the last month or so. Fellow finalist Josh Krajcik is also rumored to have a deal with Sony, although that has not been confirmed as of yet. Melanie Amaro won the first US based X Factor title in December. In addition to her $5 million prize, she will release music through Epic.
