Rihanna’s “We Found Love” has officially slipped from its ten week reign atop the Billboard Hot 100.
Dropping to no.2 Thursday, the song ended up being her best charting single to date, following “Umbrella.”
As reported widely in December, the track tied with Adele’s massive 2011 hit “Rolling In The Deep,” which spent seven weeks at no.1.
The last song to hold firm atop the coveted chart anywhere close to the ten-week run was Ke$ha’s 2010 hit “Tik Tok”. That song remained at no.1 for 9 weeks.
“We Found Love” is featured on Rihanna’s latest album, “Talk That Talk.”
In related news, Rihanna is teaming with UK network, Sky Living, to produce her own TV series, which will focus on her finding the next top fashion designer. Contestants will go through a trail of challenges over 10 weeks and the winner will get to dress the 23-year-old amongst other benefits.
“I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show,” Rihanna says of the new gig. “I have been very fortunate to work with some truly amazing designers and stylists throughout my career, and they have been instrumental in making sure my creative vision reaches the stage.”
