R&B diva Toni Braxton is recovering after being admitted to the hospital earlier this week after experiencing painful “flare ups” due to her Lupus condition. Not to worry though as she tells TMZ she will be “totally fine.”
“I wanted to say thanks to all my fans for their support, as I have been experiencing some flare ups with my Lupus which has me in the hospital for a few days,” Braxton told the gossip site.
She continues: “I wanted to clear the record before rumors started, and will totally be fine as I’m blessed to having an amazing family for support.”
Braxton, 43, also notified her followers via Twitter writing, “Hey guys! I’m sure you’ve heard rumors about me being in the hospital, they are in fact, true. I’ve been here since Monday but I am fine!”
Lupus is a condition in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. It can affect many different body systems, including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, the heart and lungs.
Braxton publicly announced her battle with the disease last year in several interviews.
Safe recovery Miss. Braxton!
