Rihanna is no stranger to dominating the charts, especially after being named the biggest-selling digital artist of all time, selling over 47 million records. Sitting comfortably atop the pop industry, she feels she has little to worry when it comes to competitors taking her spot.
“There’s nobody really in my league,” she told Look magazine. “But there’s competition everywhere. The whole music industry is competition. There are people who like other artists, those who like me and others who like both.”
The “We Found Love” singer also touched on the comparisons to new mom, Beyonce, saying, “Beyonce is a great artist and I feel honoured to be mentioned in the same sentence, but we’re different performers with different styles.”
RiRi also revealed that she looks up to pop icon, Madonna, as an inspiration behind her fearless mentality to constantly renovate herself and her music. “She reinvented her style and music with success every single time, and at the same time remained a real force. She’s fantastic,” she said.
