Rapper-turned-singer T-Pain has high hopes to share the stage with Adele at the Grammy Awards next year on his single “5 O’Clock,” according to BANG Showbiz.
T-Pain plans on performing his current single “5 O’Clock,” which features the soulful vocals of Lily Allen, at the 2012 Grammy’s, but he’s hit quite a snag. Allen recently just gave birth to her first child overseas, and she might not be able to return to the U.S. in the next few months for the show. In such a scenario, T-Pain has been brainstorming of artists that can fill her spot in the performance, one being British songstress, Adele.
“As soon as Lily is ready, I want to get her to perform with me. But if she can’t make it for the Grammy’s then I’m going to try and get Adele to sing it,” T-Pain revealed. “I haven’t met her yet, but I’d love to.”
He added, “She is one of my favorite artists right now. Any time I’m having a bad day, I listen to ’21’ all the time.”
T-Pain’s “5 O’Clock” is lifted from his forthcoming album ‘rEVOLVEr,’ due out December 6th.
