NEW RELEASES: Rihanna’s Talk, Mary J. Blige’s Life and Michael Jackson’s Immortal

Rihanna: ‘Talk That Talk’ – Island Def Jam

Pop superstar Rihanna unleashes her sixth solo studio album ‘Talk That Talk,’ led by the singles “We Found Love” and “You Da One.” On the set, which only features Jay-Z and Calvin Harris, Rihanna says it’s all about the music and that she scaled back the project to pinpoint that goal.

“I kind of just wanted to scale back, instead of having a look,” she told The Ryan Seacrest Show. “I didn’t want to make it such a big deal, like what hair color. I wanted to go back to something simple, something flexible; something a little more natural. It’s more about the music. I don’t want to become a gimmick ever.”

Mary J. Blige: ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues’ – Matriarch

Blige releases the sequel to her breakout album ‘My Life’ dubbed ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues.’ For the new album, which is led by the singles “25/8” and “Mr. Wrong” featuring Drake, Blige intends to show the world that challenges are a part of life and everyone can prevail.

“What I wanted to do with this album is show how far we’ve come and how much we’ve grown and how much understanding we have of life now,” she told London’s morning show Daybreak. “We didn’t understand why we were suffering so badly, but now we get it, we understand that life is full of challenges and what will we be if we weren’t challenged in life.”
