Rihanna Reclaims Top Spot on UK Chart, Talks Not Being a Gimmick

After being ousted for two weeks, Rihanna’s lead single “We Found Love” has reclaimed the top spot on the UK charts. The Calvin Harris produced track, lifted from her forthcoming sixth studio album ‘Talk That Talk,’ went straight to number one when it was released last month but was toppled by Professor Green and Emeli Sande’s “Read All About It” after three weeks.

Rihanna may soon snag another number one with her new single “You Da One,” released last week. ‘Talk That Talk’ will arrive in stores November 21st.

In related news, Rihanna says the new effort ‘Talk That Talk,’ is all about the music and that she scaled back the project to pinpoint that goal.

“I kind of just wanted to scale back, instead of having a look,” she told The Ryan Seacrest Show. “I didn’t want to make it such a big deal, like what hair color. I wanted to go back to something simple, something flexible; something a little more natural. It’s more about the music. I don’t want to become a gimmick ever.”

With the release of her sixth studio album, do you consider Rihanna a gimmick?
