Christina Milian sure knows how to stay busy as a single mother, even though it does not seem like she will be putting out new music anytime soon. Despite the R&B singer-actress working on her studio album ‘Elope,’ it does not look like the project is a priority at this point. According to Deadline, Milian has just been named as the new Social Media Correspondent for the second season of NBC’s singing competition, “The Voice.”
“Christina’s extensive musical background and widespread recognition make her the perfect choice for the role of Social Media Correspondent on The Voice,” said NBC’s president of alternative programming Paul Telegdy. “Her experience as a singer will provide a comfort level to our artists when they speak to her about the ins and outs of the competition.”
The second season of The Voice will premiere on February 5th, 2012 right after the Super Bowl and will air every Monday night from 8-10pm. Milian will be replacing Alison Haislip, and she’ll be joining the star-studded cast which includes Carson Daly as the host, and musical coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
Most recently, Milian made a guest appearance on CSI, and she’s a recurring voice of Esther on Family Guy. Back in August, we reported that Milian was in negotiations for the new ABC family series, “Maid In Miami.” As of now, there is no official word on the status of the show.
