Janelle Monae Tapped to Perform at Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Grammy-nominated singer Janelle Monà e has been confirmed to perform at the 18th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert.

Monà e will join the confirmed line-up for the event alongside soul singer Jill Scott, David Gray, Matthew Morrison, Sugarland, Ellie Goulding, Bernhoft, and the World Youth Choir.

The Nobel Peace Prize for 2011 will be divided in equal parts amongst three women:

Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leymah Gbowee of Libya and Tawakkul Karman of Yemen for their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women’s rights to full participation in peace-building work.
