R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo has been busy in the studio readying his fifth studio album and mixtape with comedian Kevin Hart. Though he has been mum about details for his forthcoming album, he finally revealed the title of the project â “The Cracks In Mr. Perfect.”
Following his tribute performance to Michael Jackson at the “Michael Jackson Forever” concert in Wales last weekend, our friends over at ThatGrapeJuice caught up with the “Miss Independent” singer to talk about his performance and memories of Michael.
Shortly after, he revealed the title of the 2010 “Libra Scale” follow-up and explained the meaning behind the name.
“The album is based around, even though I am ‘celebrity’ or ‘artist’ or whatever the case may be, I am a human being first. I felt like as an artist, sometimes you are kinda expected to be this perfect being for your fans,” explains Ne-Yo. “This album is basically showing people I’m not; I’m not this perfect guy, I’m a human being at the end of the day.”
The album is slated for a 2012 release, with a mixtape entitled “1O1” and hosted by Kevin Hart preceding it.
