With a presence reminiscent to Grammy-winning soul singer India.Arie and vocal colors similar to Oakland songstress Goapele, Indie singer ArinMaya may just be on to something great. The Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based artist treated fans to her eclectic sounds recently at the Singersroom sponsored “Sol Village” at SOBs in New York City.
ArinMaya performed several songs, including the Singersroom favorite “(I Want) To Be Beautiful,” lifted from her debut album, The Sound of ArinMaya, released in Spring 2010.
