Record Label Lawsuit Against Johnny Gill Dropped

Johnny Gill’s current record label Notifi Records CEO Ira DeWitt has dropped a defamation lawsuit against the veteran R&B singer.

The suit was filed after a track from Gill was leaked online, prompting him to attack the record label’s owner on Twitter. Gill and DeWitt have now settled the conflict and are conducting an investigation to determine how the song “Might Cry” was leaked online.

“I’m elated to continue this journey that I’ve started with Ira and Notifi Records. Through conflict we found a resolution, and not to mention I’ve found my friend again,” Gill stated. “I could only hope that the attention that was given to our conflict, will be given to the example we set with our resolution.”

Gill’s sixth album ‘Still Winning’ is expected to be released on October 11, 2011.
