Will & Jada Pinkett Smith Slam Marriage Split Rumors

Hopeless romantics need not fret. On Tuesday morning, the internet was set ablaze after In Touch Weekly reported that Hollywood couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith had split. However, the Smiths have released an official statement denying the rumors and confirming how strong their 13-year-old marriage is.

“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact,” Will and Jada said in a joint statement.

The Smiths have been married since 1997, and have two children together – Jaden, 13, and Willow, 10. Will also has a son, Trey, 18, from a previous marriage. The two originally met on the set of Will’s TV series ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.’ In 2008, Will opened up about his marriage to Ellen Degeneres, and mentioned how divorce was never an option placed on the table.

“What I found is divorce just can’t be an option,” Will told Ellen at the time. “It’s really that simple. And I think that’s the problem with L.A. – there are so many options. So a huge part of the success for [Jada] and I is that we just removed the other options.”

Either way, it’s great to know that the two are still together! Hoping to many more years for the inspirational couple!
