Dirty Money member Kalenna, an accomplished songwriter, will transition from writing songs to children’s book series. Her literature series is inspired by her sister who died from complications associated with Lupus.
The goal “is to use these books to fund organizations like the Lupus Foundation of America, of which I am a partner, and my nonprofit organization, the I Heart Kalenna foundation,” Kalenna told YKIGS.
The literature aimed for pre-school and elementary aged children is intended to educate and entertain. “I want to help other families cope with the issue,” she adds.
In addition to her forthcoming children’s book series, Kalenna is working on a untitled solo album.
