In a time where female R&B groups are somewhat obsolete, many fans are hoping for a reunion from multi-Grammy winning group Destiny’s Child. But for now, as Beyonce Knowles, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland pursue their solo careers, it seems doubtful that this reunion will happen any time soon or at all for that matter.
Kelly Rowland, whose third studio album, Here I Am, hits stores today, says they haven’t even brought up the discussion of re-uniting in their conversations.
“To be honest with you — myself, Michelle and B — we haven’t talked about it. It has not come up in our conversations,” Rowland told Billboard. “We talk about everything else… But we haven’t talked about that yet.”
Kelly also defends her band member Michelle, insisting she needs to receive the same comradery as her and Beyonce.
“What kind of angers me a bit is just the fact that Michelle is in Destiny’s Child, too, and respect her and know that it’s three of us — it’s not two,” she adds.
Kelly’s latest album ‘Here I Am’ is out today.
