Trey Songz will be running scared soon. The Grammy-nominated R&B singer has been tapped to play one of the leads in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
This will serve as the latest remake of 1974 horror classic, which is about a group of teens that run into a family of cannibals in Texas.
Songz will be making his big-screen acting debut in Chainsaw, playing the male lead and the boyfriend of the previously cast Alexandra Daddario. The “Love Faces” singer will be seen in a physical, romantic and heroic light.
The horror movie begins shooting later this month in Shreveport, Louisiana and will be released on October 5, 2012. John Luessenhop (Takers) will direct the film, which was written by Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan.
