Last month, two men were arrested with swords, rope and a body bag after a failed attempt to rob and/or kidnap British soul singer Joss Stone. Unfazed by the plot, Stone thanked fans for their concerns a few days after the melee saying, “I’d like to thank everyone for their concern but I’m absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their inquiries.”
The two assailants were later charged with conspiracy to rob and assault the “Somehow” singer and now Stone is dismissing the episode, insisting she might take it as a “compliment.”
“I just think it’s a little bit crazy. Oh the tapestry of life. But, you know what, one could say I might take that as a compliment. I don’t know how, but I’m figuring it out,” Stone tells Entertainment Tonight.
She continues: “People are mental, man. But it’s alright. This is another story I can add to my list of stories. It makes my life so much more interesting… You can’t fret about things that didn’t happen, it just seems a bit silly.”
Stone will release her fifth studio album ‘LP1′ and her first via her own record label Stone’d Records on July 26,2011. The forthcoming effort was recorded in only six days with the assistance of producer Dave Stewart. The musical tone of the album is a rock n’ soul musical odyssey.
