The late Michael Jackson’s sister La Toya Jackson appeared on the ‘Today Show’ to promote her new autobiography ‘Starting Over’ recently and she opened up about her brother’s insecurities, telling host Matt Lauer her that he feared people were going to kill him.
Looking back on a past conversation with her brother, La Toya said The King of Pop told her, “I could never perform again, because I know they’re going to kill me.”
La Toya says her brother worried that people wanted to kill him to steal his music catalog and estate. When pushed by Lauer on who would want to murder Michael, La Toya said, “Everyone that surrounded that and was involved in that”, adding, “When you read the book and read between the lines … Michael led you to that. To what was going to happen. When you read the book you understand completely.”
Michael’s doctor Conrad Murray has been charged with involuntarily manslaughter for his death, but on the contrary La Toya called him “a fall guy,” adding, “They need to investigate this a bit more.”
Lauer also brought up Jackson’s 1993 press conference during which she said she believed the sexual abuse allegations brought against Michael. La Toya says she was forced to do that by her husband Jack Gordon, adding, “I always knew (Michael) never (molested children).
La Toya Jackson’s new autobiography ‘Starting Over’ is now available worldwide.
Do you think this is a ploy by La Toya to sell books or is it real?
