Random Wright, former finalist on MTV’s Making the Band 4, premieres the debut music video for his single “Who I Am,” lifted from his newly released mixtape ‘The Random Mixtape.’ Collaborating with Shonica Crocker (“The Rain” by Akon) and Jre Riley (“Lie” by Malik Yusef), Random co-wrote his debut single using his childhood experiences fused with his desire to eliminate stereotypes as inspiration.
The concept behind the video was to showcase the will to fight when faced with adversity whether it was physical, emotional or spiritual. The video was directed by Alex ‘Lex Weska’ Askew and co-directer James ‘Ocho’ Fraizer. ‘
Abandoned and alone, Random found solace in creating and writing music. Today, Random credits his upbringing in the State of Florida’s Foster Care System as his motivation to pursue his love of music. Currently, Random resides in Atlanta, Georgia where he is prepping his debut EP entitled ‘Broke and Fameless’ which is set to be released in August 2011. While still unsigned, Random Wright has never given up on his dreams to pursue a career in the music industry.
