While cops dig for evidence in the killing of Cali Swag District member M-Bone, born Montae Walker, micro-blogging site Twitter has been named in the investigation. Sources tell TMZ the 22-year-old had a war of words with an unnamed man over a girl on Twitter before he was murdered on Sunday night (May 15).
According to M-Bone’s friends, the rapper got involved with a female after coming off tour but a man who lives in her building wasn’t too fond of the relationship, prompting threatening messages on Twitter from both sides.
In addition, sources say the black car M-Bone was in when he was shot in the head at least twice, is registered to the unidentified female. Furthermore, witnesses said the gunmen took a U-turn after fleeing to check out whether they hit the target.
In a statement to TMZ, Cali Swag District members have reached out to public to help identify the shooters stating, “As police are still investigating the shooting and untimely death, we ask that anyone with information contact the Inglewood Police Department.”
If you have any information, please contact Inglewood Police Department at (310) 412-5246 or its 24-hour anonymous tip-line (888) 412-7463.
