In an effort to keep his hit single “Lay It Down” ringing in fan’s ears, R&B singer Lloyd has teamed with B.o.B for a re-up of the song. In a recently released visual, Lloyd pieces together clips from his concerts and behind-the-scene looks, in a “lyrics-video style,” to deliver the featured cut to fans.
“Lay It Down” is lifted off Lloyd’s forthcoming fourth studio album âKing of Hearts,’ which after several delays, is scheduled to hit stores June 28th. According to Lloyd, the set will boast collaborations from Lil Wayne, Jim Jonsin, Young Jeezy, Keri Hilson, Cool & Dre, Rick Ross and executive producer Polow Da Don.
âKing of Hearts’ is the follow-up to 2008’s âLessons in Love,’ and Lloyd says it’s his most personal album to date.
“It really is my best work to date. Anytime that you are working with a mindset or in the early stages of releasing what you consider a masterpiece, you want to make sure everything is right and all the stars are aligned,” Lloyd previously stated. “I think time is very valuable. Being able to have time to do things the right way is really a luxury – its just good that we can afford that luxury.”
Lloyd is currently supporting Diddy-Dirty Money on their coming home tour.
