While breakout performers Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber are new to the bright lights of fame, they have somehow managed to catch the attention of the iconic, TIME magazine. The magazine just announced that both singing sensations made their annual list of the world’s most influential people.
Mars and Bieber are part of a powerhouse lineup which amongst the likes of Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey, include 100 artists, politicians, activists, researchers, and reformers.
R&B veteran Usher gushed over his young protégé saying, “From the minute I met Justin, I knew this kid possessed a certain confidence that only a star could have. He was born a star.” Bieber’s mentor went on to say, “He knew what he wanted to accomplish; all he had to do was get everyone else to believe it. Now, looking back at his incredible run, the reality of who he is and what he’s accomplished far exceeds anybody’s expectations of him.”
Not to be outdone, B.o.B spoke very highly of his ‘Beautiful Girls’ collaborator. “There are a lot of people in this world who can sing and play the piano and guitar. Hell, I sing and play the piano and guitar,” he stated. “But there’s something different about Bruno Mars. He has a musicality, a presence in his voice that I’ve never heard from anyone else.”
