DJ Megatron Found Dead, Stars Tweet Their Condolences

Corey McGriff known as DJ Megatron, was found shot dead a block away from his Staten Island home early Sunday Morning. A popular Hot 97 Hip Hop & R&B radio DJ and a regular on Bet’s 106 & Park show, 32-year old McGriff died from a single bullet wound to the chest, according to authorities.

A host of stars from the world of hip-hop took to Twitter to express their condolences, including rapper Nicki Minaj.

Minaj writes, “Rest In Peace DJ Megatron. My thoughts are with your family and friends @ hot 97”, while rapper Noreaga, who starred alongside McGriff in 2005 film State Property 2, adds, “Rip megatron don damn.”

Terrence J of BET’s 106 & Park writes, “Rip to DJ Megatron. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones, he will be deeply missed.”

McGriff had three children, Zaharia, 11, Zion, 4, and Isiah, 9 months.
