Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj Kick Off Tour With Salute to Nate Dogg

Arguably one of the year’s most anticipated tours, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj kicked off his “I Am Still Music” tour last night in Providence, Rhode Island.

Wayne opened up to the sold out crowd by expressing how grateful he was for their support during his incarceration. “I swear to God, I was in a place a few months ago, I couldn’t imagine this sh–. But now that I’m here, it’s better than I could have imagined.”

Keeping things light, the Harajuku Barbie treated a fan to a sexy lap dance during her set. Lucky guy!

At the end of the show, Wayne paid tribute to the iconic Nate Dogg along with other fallen musicians who have influenced him. “Make some noise for Tupac. Make some noise for Biggie. Make some noise for my n—a Nate Dogg. Make some noise for Michael Jackson, y’all. All the people I named taught me one thing. And that’s how to hustle.”

The trek also featured performances from Rick Ross, Porcelain and Travis Barker.

Great way to start your tour off Wayne!
