Mario Winans’ Ex Says She Was Homeless, Claims R&B Singer Not Paying Child Support

Another year, another celebrity accused of not paying up. R&B singer/songwriter Mario Winans is being accused by his ex-girlfriend for not paying his required monthly child support.

Janel Bennett says the singer, who wrote Diddy-Dirty Money’s recent hit song “Loving You No More” with rapper Drake, stopped handing over cash for their son Jordan. Bennett claims she’s due to receive $4,500 a month and that Winans is four months behind on payment.

“He pays $10,000 a month for a house in New Jersey and says he’s broke,” Bennett tells the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix. “I was homeless. I had to stay with friends in Chicago. He’s not broke; he just had a hit song with Drake.”

In contrary to Bennett’s claims, Winans insist he’s always ensured his kids are “taken care of.”

Winans, who says he wired $14,000 to Bennett over the weekend, states, “I take pride in my children – it is what it is – I always make sure they are taken care of.”

Winans has three other children with his wife Joy.
