R&B Singer Tweet Preps New Album, Gives Song Samples

R&B/soul songstress Tweet may finally bless fans with a new album in 2011. The Southern Hummingbird tweeted Tuesday (Jan. 4) that she plans on dropping the long-awaited effort after she handles business.

“Ok this year I will be releasing LOVE, TWEET my 3rd album,” she writes on Twitter. “No date yet ….still ironing out the business part of things!!!!”

‘Love, Tweet,’ the follow-up to 2005’s ‘It’s Me Again,’ was originally set for release in 2008 but due to label politics and leaked records, the album never saw light. The set was previously lead by the first single “Love Again;” it’s unclear at the moment if Tweet will re-up that record or lead with a new song.

For now, fans can check out what Tweet calls some “rough scratch vocals of ICEBERG and THINGS YOU SAY,” adding “and when I say rough I mean rough!!!!”
