Lloyd’s ‘King Of Hearts’ Pushed Back To March

We guest R&B singer Lloyd won’t be taming any hearts for Valentine’s Day. The “Lay It Down” singer’s fourth studio album, ‘King of Hearts,’ has been pushed back for a March 22 release.

The set, the follow-up to 2008’s Lessons in Love, was originally-intended for a February 14 Valentine’s Day release. Instead, the former Murder Inc. singer and his Zone 4 team decided to push out the release to set a bigger promotional stage.

“I got a lot of surprises. I think that a lot of people haven’t heard me sound like this, haven’t heard me sing like this,” Lloyd previously voiced about the LP. “It’s gonna be a new look, it’s gonna be like I’m back for the first time. It should be anticipated. The album is gonna be my best work to date.”

Lloyd recently released a remix of his lead single “Lay It Down,” which features veteran soul singer Patti Labelle.
