R&B singer Monica has logged a great year (2010) on the heels of her recent album âStill Standingâ and she plans to repeat the same success in 2011. The âEverything To Meâ hitmaker is back in the studio working on her new project, logging studio time with hit producer and cousin Polow Da Don. âIâve only worked with Polow so far, but I try to get with one or two producers and pretty much create the meat, and then you pretty much get the rest of it done around the center of the album,â she tells Rap-Up.com. Monica plans to release the first single in March and the untitled album in summer 2011. âI really want to come up with the album title very soon, so that it will have direction like Still Standing did,â she said. âI hope to at least have the title in January and a single in maybe March and an album in maybe July. It would have to be something pretty drastic to take me off my path. But if nothing changes, thatâs the plan.â Fans may also get a special treat as Monica is also looking into releasing a Christmas album next year as well. âIâm looking forward to something like that, something thatâs kinda mixed with a little bit of Christian inspirational things with some of the older songs that we all know,â she says.
