An aspiring singer/songwriter has filed suit against Usher and his record label, claiming the R&B singerâs hit song âCaught Upâ was stolen from her submitted material. Wadena Pyatt claims she landed a record contract with Alicia Keys’ MBK Entertainment label in 2003 and wrote the cut for inclusion on her debut album. According to filed documents in a New York court, Pyatt was shocked when she heard Usher on her song, which was on his diamond selling Confessions album, but was not listed as one of the songwriters. The disc names Ryan Toby, Andre Harris, Vidal Davis and Jason Boyd as the creators of âCaught Up,â which was released as a single in 2004. Pyatt is demanding damages for profits received from sales of the track, reports AllHipHop.com.
