Pop/R&B star Rihanna releases her fifth studio album, âLoud,â today (Nov. 16) after only being in the game six years. The set is led by the first single âOnly Girl (In The Worldâ and the Billboard Hot 100 number 1 track âWhatâs My Name?â featuring rapper Drake. As far as Loud, Rihanna says, “I’m forever changing, growing, so it’ll never be the same thing. This album for me was really my way of expressing myself to the fans in an unapologetic way.” In related news, Rihanna performed âWhatâs My Name?â on MTVâs new afternoon show, The Seven, on Monday (November 15). Drake-less for the performance, Riri rocked a new sleek red hair, a funky printed jacket, light-yellow hot pants and a black T-shirt, while singing along with fans on the hit track. After her dance heavy performance, Rihanna proclaimed, “Thank you, New York! It’s amazing! It’s a lot of people,” she said. “I’m really excited. I’m looking forward to sharing it with the world. I want everybody to get Loud tomorrow.” The singer also talked to “The Seven” hosts about working with Drake on the album. “[It was] really good,” she said of her pal. “We know each other. We’re good friends. It’s easy for us to work together.” Loud is in stores and online now.
