Academy Award-winning actor and Grammy Award-winning vocalist is now taking his years on Hollywood one step farther with directing a new drama. Jamie Foxx has sold a drama tentatively titled Tommy’s Little Girlâdescribed as Le Femme Nikita meets The Sopranosâto NBC. The story is based on a young girl who’s mafia family is murdered by a competing mob. She grows up in an orphanage and eventually becomes an attorney by day, and trained assassin by night, determined to avenge her family’s death. The trailerâreportedly staring Selma Blair, Paul Sorvino, Tony Sirico and James Russoâwas co-written and directed by Foxx and Deon Taylor, who recently teamed up to launch No Brainer Films. On the music side, Jamie Foxx’s fourth solo album, Body, is slated for a late 2010 release.
