With a felony charge added to his resume after an incident last month for cocaine possession, Bruno Mars seems to feel as good as a freakin’ billionaire. “The EP I put out [this year’s It’s Better If You Don’t Understand] just had a couple songs that I’ve written, but the album is the body of work,” a very excited Bruno tells MTV News. “It rounds everything off, you know. These are my greatest hits.” Today October 5th Mars will become the man with his new album called âDoo-Wops & Hooligans.â It’s fear to say we haven’t heard such a refreshing and organic sound like this in a while. Bruno Mars is ready to give the fans a piece of himself. “I put my heart and soul into any record I do, and I just want them to know I mean what I’m saying. Everything that I write down and perform is coming from me,” says Mars. “So I want fans to be like, ‘You know what, I want to see the Bruno Mars movie,’ and I want them to put on my album, and I want to take them on a journey.” As far as Mars arrest September 19 in Las Vegas on suspicion of cocaine possession after a performance at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino, the singer isn’t commenting on the arrest, but the drug charge didn’t slow his momentum on the charts, as his first single “Just the Way You Are” gave Mars his first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 four days after the news broke. Are you going to follow him on this journey and buy the album?
