Rihanna’s New Single Greenlit For September 7 Premiere

Less than a year since the release of her fourth studio album ‘Rated R,’ R&B/Pop star Rihanna is pushing forward with her fifth effort. The “Rude Boy” singer will premiere the first single off the set, “Only Girl (In the World)” on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 3pm on the RyanSeacrest.com. Grammy-winning Norwegian production team Stargate, who produced “Rude Boy,” “Hate That I Love You” and “Don’t Stop the Music,” is behind “Only Girl.” Rihanna first alerted fans of the single after tweeting Seacrest earlier this week, saying, “In less than 10 dayz ima send u sumn special, and ur gonna play it OVER and OVER, like I’m the only girl in the world!” An industry insider tells JustJared that “the song is electrifying and explosive.” Rihanna recently closed out her “Last Girl on Earth” tour and is currently in Hawaii shooting her big screen debut “Battleship.” See Photos of Rihanna on Battleship set
