Entertainment Mogul Sean âDiddyâ Combs has been hit with a $12 million dollar lawsuit by a former employee, who claims the Bad Boy Records chief fired her over her age and medical condition. Francesca Spero filed the lawsuit in New York Federal Court yesterday (Sept 1st), identifying herself as a â51-year-old-white womanâ who clashed with Combs after she revealed she needed hip surgery in 2008, reports TMZ. Spero, the former Vice President of Management and Publishing at Bad Boy Records, reportedly âsuffered a relapseâ due to prescription medication and alcohol abuse. The former exec claims Combs attempted to freeze her out of her position at Bad Boy until she was fired in March of 2010 and allegedly replaced her with a woman who lacked her skill set, in addition to being 10-15-years younger. A spokesperson for Diddy released a statement saying: “This is a grab for money by someone who concedes in her complaint to having had a drug relapse while on the job and an employer who was not satisfied with her work. There are many reasons why Ms. Spero is no longer employed by Bad Boy, but age discrimination is not one of them.” Do you think this will fly in court? Tell us in the comments
