Update: Lady Gaga Says Crowd Kissing Stunt Was Based On Impulse

Last week at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, Illinois, Pop star Lady Gaga dove into the crowd for a kissing stunt with Semi Precious Weapon’s frontman Justin Tranter, defying record label bosses’ ban on crowd surfing. Gaga, 24, who later took heat from several family group for the semi-naked stunt, says she was over excited during the performance of her surprise set with her rocker friends Semi Precious Weapon, before ignoring security fears and stage-diving. But Gaga admits the crazy antic wasn’t planned – and the impulsive act left her feeling “great”. “I was so excited ’cause I haven’t crowd-surfed in a long time ’cause no one lets me anymore,” she tells Los Angeles DJ Ryan Seacrest. “It was great. I love Semi Precious so much and they’re my band… I don’t know what came over me. I just got so excited and I remember playing that stage and what it felt like and they were doing such a great job… I just jumped.” Gaga later performed her own headlining set at the festival.
