Hip Hop heavyweight Kanye West and MTV has buried the hatchet as he will reportedly perform at this yearâs Video Music Awards. It was only a year ago that West crashed the awards stage and notoriously interrupted Taylor Swiftâs speech, claiming that Beyonce should have won an award given to Swift. MTV then booted west from the remainder of the show. West has been assuming the gentleman role as of late and he recently apologized to fans while in Singapore. “I’m so sorry to y’all, everyone one of y’all that had to fight for my name/ Everyone of y’all a year ago that I made feel ashamed,” he rapped in a freestyle. “I am the one to blame, and the people that I let down, I wanna tell you, right here, right now that I’m a new man and understand my position of power.” The Grammy-winning rapper’s untitled fifth studio album is expected to drop âsometime in November.â He debuted a video “painting” for the first single, “Power,” on MTV last Thursday, and a follow-up single is also expected to be released in the next few weeks.
