Res Ready For New Album After Geffen Fight

Soul/Pop/R&B singer Res (real name Shareese Renée Ballard) is finally back in the studio working on a new album after waiting years to be released from her Geffen deal. Res and her label became at odds after she received minimal attention and promotion for her sophomore album ‘Black. Girls. Rock!’ Now ready for a new beginning, Res’ new album, RESET, will continue the groove music she is well known for. The new album is reportedly being produced by Doc aka Martin McKinney, who also produced her debut album ‘How I Do’ in 2001. “It feels great to get in a familiar groove with such a talented producer. We have a chemistry that can not be denied and you all will hear,” says Res, who is also a member of musical trio Idle Warship with Talib Kweli and Graph Nobel. Feeling the excitement of the new album, Res also thanked her fans in a recent statement. “I have felt your support throughout the years and I want you all to continue to spread the word about this new album called RESET! Let the WORLD know we are Back In Business!”
