The Style Suite: Stripes, Jumpers & Rompers and Fedoras

Stripes are just a classic print that’ll never go out of style. TopShop and Republic have some great options. They’re especially a favorite during the summer. Whether it’s on a blazer, shirt or dress (like Christina Milian), stripes can be flattering on any piece of clothing. Just make sure you don’t overdo it. Pairing horizontal stripes with vertical stripes is usually a disaster. Stripes can also enhance your shape. So if you’re trying to lean out and look longer, try a great pair of pants with thinner, vertical stripes. If you’re small up top or have a boyish and you’re trying to create a curvy figure, try darker or thicker horizontal stripes. It works wonders!

There’s something about a one piece that makes a girl feel sexy. No wonder everyone’s been wearing jumpers and rompers lately. Jumpers are great one pieces for a night out on the town or even the red carpet. Everyone from Keri Hilson to Chanel Iman has been seen with them on. Rompers are great as well – especially for summer – because you can show off your legs. Rocsi does a great job dressing hers up with accessories. It’s very easy to make your romper casual or dressy…it’s all a matter of accessories and shoes. Arden B has some cute romper options at affordable prices. A celeb favorite for jumpers is Stella McCartney. She makes the best ones.

With the sun out blazing every single day this summer, you’ve got to keep cool while looking cool too. Fedoras are perfect for keeping your face shaded and pulling an outfit together. Eugenia Kim for Target has some good looking hats for good looking prices. Great for an outdoor concert or even a day in the park, fedoras can be found in different textures like suede, cotton, satin and of course, straw. Take note from Beyonce who’s paired her hat with a graphic tee and some cutoffs. Adding a hat, can make all the difference to your outfit.
