K. Michelle is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur who has been making waves in the music industry since her debut album ‘Rebellious Soul’ was released in 2013. She’s become a leading voice for women everywhere – inspiring them to stand up with confidence and break through any barriers they may face along their journey. Recently, K. Michelle took part in The Watch List Interview series where she opened up about her career trajectory as well as some of the struggles she faced on the way to success. In this article, we will explore what K. Michelle had to say during her interview and delve into deeper topics such as empowerment, strength and resilience.

K. Michelle began her musical career in 2009 when she signed onto Jive Records but soon experienced several roadblocks that hindered her progress including label politics and personal issues which led to her leaving the label after just one album release. Despite these difficulties, K. Michelle never gave up on achieving what she wanted for herself – eventually signing with Atlantic Records and releasing two highly acclaimed albums: Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart? (2014) & More Issues Than Vogue (2016).

In The Watch List Interview series, K. Michelle spoke candidly about how she overcame challenges throughout her career while staying true to herself against all odds – emphasizing the importance of self-love, resilience and courage required to make it big in the music industry today.

Background Of K. Michelle

K. Michelle is a multi-talented musician and reality television star, known for her distinct voice and unique songwriting style. She is originally from Memphis, Tennessee and has had an illustrious career since the start. After releasing two mixtapes in 2008 and 2010 respectively, K. Michelle was signed to Jive Records where she released four studio albums between 2012 and 2017. Aside from music, K. Michelle starred on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta series beginning in 2012, which rocketed her into further fame with its success over six seasons.

In addition to being a well-known recording artist, K. Michelle also launched her own line of makeup products called “The Killer B Collection” in 2019 after becoming an ambassador for beauty brand Clarisonic earlier that year. When asked about why she decided to venture off into the beauty world, K. Michelle says it’s because “makeup should be fun” and not intimidating or expensive; something everyone can enjoy regardless of their budget or skill level.

Furthermore, as one of Billboard Magazine’s Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop Artists of 2016 listees, K. Michelle continues to stay relevant by consistently introducing new content such as her 2020 EP The People I Used To Know featuring singles like “Supahood” and “The Rain”. As an overall entertainer who enjoys pushing boundaries both musically and personally, K.Michelle proves time again why she remains at the top of her game while still staying true to herself every step of the way.

Highlights From The Interview

K. Michelle’s recent interview with The Watch List was an insightful conversation that highlighted both her personal and professional journey thus far. From the beginning of her career in 2008 to now, K. Michelle discussed how she has been able to stay true to herself while also making sure her artistry is still accessible for a wide audience. She even mentioned what it’s like being part of one of VH1’s most popular reality shows – Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta – and how this experience helped further catapult her career into the mainstream.

When talking about her makeup collection, K.Michelle said “I wanted something fun but affordable so everyone can get their glam on without breaking the bank” revealing why she chose to start this beauty line as well as other projects she hopes to pursue going forward. Additionally, when asked which artists have inspired her work over the years, K. Michelle gave props to Lauryn Hill who she says ‘was a huge influence in my life’ since day one and continues to be someone whose music moves people all around the world today.

Overall, it was refreshing hearing from K. Michelle and learning more about where she started compared to where she stands now in terms of accomplishments and success; setting an example for young women everywhere that anything is possible if you just keep pushing towards your dreams no matter what obstacles come along the way.

Conclusion

In conclusion, K. Michelle is a true inspiration to many with her music and interviews. Her experiences throughout life have enabled her to create heartfelt lyrics that can relate to so many people, no matter their background or situation. She has had an impressive career thus far and the sky seems to be the limit for this powerful artist.

Her recent interview on The Watch List was no exception as she discussed various topics such as her journey in the music industry, racism, and what it means to be successful. She shared some of the struggles she faced while working hard to make it in the industry but also emphasized how they ultimately molded her into who she is today. Additionally, K. Michelle made sure to impart valuable advice about staying dedicated and resilient through difficult times.

K. Michelle’s dedication towards making meaningful art is evident in all aspects of her work- from songwriting and performances to thought-provoking interviews like this one on The Watch List. As long as I keep pushing forward regardless of any obstacles that come my way, I know there are great things ahead for me too thanks largely in part due to listening to inspiring individuals like K. Michelle!
