Mark Morrison Returns With B’Day Single, Summer Album

Singer/songwriter Mark Morrison is making a comeback this summer with a new single and anticipated album. Leading the charge is “B’Day,” a single described as a 2010 funk-infected anthem and first leak from his new album, ‘I Am What I Am.’ Often recognized for “Return of the Mack,” a top ten hit around the world in 1996, has had four top ten hits since, including “Crazy, Trippin’, Horny and Moan and Groan,” making him the first artist in British pop history to have five Top-10s from their debut album. Morrison’s last outing was ‘Innocent Man’ featuring DMX, the lead track from his 2006 album, which also appeared in sample form on Innocent Man (Misunderstood) by Cassidy, reaching #3 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart in November 2007.
