Monica Fends Off Rihanna For Fifth No.1

Even with “Rude Boy” gaining airplay, Monica’s hit single “Everything To Me” retains the top spot on the R&B charts this week. Landing its fifth week atop the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Songs tally, “Everything To Me,” Monica’s leading single from “Still Standing,” the album, is officially one of this year’s highest charting and longest running R&B singles. Coming in behind Melanie Fiona’s “It Kills Me,” which spent over five weeks on the chart and Trey Songz’s “I Invented Sex,” “Everything To Me” is on its way to becoming record breaking for Monica. In related news, Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” is angling for the top spot. It moves up to no.2 (3-2) on this week’s chart, followed by Ludacris with “My Chick Bad”.
