Lloyd In No Rush To Release Interscope Debut

Lloyd might have a new deal with Interscope but, the former Murder Inc. artist is taking his time when it comes to the next album. “I don’t feel the need to rush to release an album. It’ll be out later this year,” Lloyd told MTV last week, shortly after confirming a deal with Interscope instead of a long rumored situation with Young Money/Cash Money. “I got a couple of title options, but I’m not 100 percent sure yet.” Ready to work with Interscope’s Jimmy Iovine, Lloyd is also looking forward to hitting the studio with Polow Da Don and perhaps Dr. Dre, Will.I.Am and Timbaland. While it may be sometime before Lloyd’s fourth studio album arrives in stores, the “You” singer is not making fans wait for new music. A new single titled “Set Me Free” was released Friday (listen HERE). Featuring Mystikal, “Set Me Free” is said to be the first of many collaborative efforts set for release this year. “I have a few surprise collaborations coming,” says Lloyd. “In the past two months I’ve recorded some really surprising features that will shake up the game a little bit.”
