Ashanti is reportedly “glad” to put the widely reported stalking case involving a New York man who sent lewd photographs and texts to her mother behind her. “We’re really so glad to have this behind us, and we feel justice has been served,” a rep for the singer said over the weekend. As previously reported, Devar Hurd, the man responsible for sending the text messages and photographs of his genitals, has been sentenced to two years behind bars. In related news, Ashanti is busy working on a new album. Slated for release later this year, the album will be the “Rain’ singer’s first project under her label Written Entertainment.
