Singer/Songwriter Dawn Richard has just signed a deal with eigoMANGA for the release of ‘Danity Kane,’ the comic book series. Created by Richard and written by Natasha McGough, with illustrations done by Kim Jimin, ‘Danity Kane’ was inspired by today’s music scene. “I am excited about the partnership between eigoMANGA and Danity Kane Comics,” says Richard. “We are moving Danity Kane Comics into a new frontier. We want to merge the worlds of comics and music together and we have started on the road to doing so.” Set for release Spring 2010, ‘Danity Kane’ tells the story of a naive yet powerful youth sent from a distant planet to liberate her people while combating a secret war between them and their oppressors. ‘Danity Kane’ is due for release via eigoManga, a comic book publishing company that specializes in creating Japanese-influenced comic books and media productions and Ingram Periodicals Spring 2010.
