After penning celebrated records like “Closer” and “Sexy Love,” Ne-Yo continues to promote healthy relationships with the recently premiered recording “Heroes”. Premiered earlier this week on Late Night With David Letterman, Ne-Yo’s “Heroes” is part of a new campaign spearheaded by Macy’s. Dubbed the ‘RESPECT! Campaign,’ the initiative is designed to promote respect in relationships and increase awareness about the positive role everyone can play to help end and prevent relationship violence and abuse. “Respect is the foundation of positive relationships,” Ne-Yo said in statement. “There’s often too much violence around us â and we need to focus on and celebrate those behaviors that inspire healthy interactions. I hope this song brings visibility to the issue and encourages all of us to be heroes to others.” A strong ballad with a timely message about everyday heroes that shape lives in goodness and in turn help build a world that is free of relationship violence, “Heroes” was released Tuesday, February 2. A portion of proceeds from the song will go to the Family Violence Prevention Fund, which has worked for three decades to end violence against women, children and families.
