Elizabeth Taylor may hold the record for consistently topping the list of the nation’s best selling celebrity fragrances but, a new class of celebs are nipping at her heals. In a recently released list of 2008’s top celebrity scents, entertainment mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Celine Dion, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Lopez come close to unseating Taylor’s ‘White Diamonds’. Coming in at a surprising no.2 on the list, Diddy’s Sean John Unforgivable is the nation’s fastest growing fragrance, raking in $48.5 million ! Ironically following ‘Unforgivable,’ Jennifer Lopez, at one point his girlfriend, tops Britney Spears with $18.5 million in sales of her fragrance ‘Glo’. Other notable scents on the list, compiled by Euromonitor International, include Celine Dion’s “Celine Dion’ with $26.4 million in sales (no.3); Sarah Jessica Parker’s ‘Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker’ — $25.7 million (no.4); and Derek Jeter’s ‘Derek Jeter Driven’ with $24.1 million (no.5).
