Mary J. Blige is poised for a strong debut on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart. According to early sales figures, Blige’s new album “Stronger With Each Tear” will come in at no.2 thanks to sales in excess of 300,000 copies. Featuring the single “I Am,” “Stronger With Each Tear” could sell up to 350,000 copies but will still fall short of the week’s projected winner — Susan Boyle. According to sales predictions, Boyle’s reigning album “I Dreamed a Dream,” which has sold over 2.4 million copies since its release in November, could move another 500,000 copies this week ! While Boyle will likely top the Billboard 200, sources say Blige will displace Alicia Keys’ “The Element of Freedom,” which debuted atop the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart with over 417,000 copies sold Wednesday.
