Usher Lands Second Week Atop R&B, Hip Hop Charts

Usher just earned a second week atop the R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart thanks to the hit single “Papers”. Purported to be a buzz record from his forthcoming album “Raymond Vs. Raymond,” “Papers” is Usher’s tenth no.1 charting single and second solo record to chart in the top 10 this year. In related news, Trey Songz held on to his spot at no.2 on the R&B/Hip Hop songs tally this week. The “Ready” featured single “I Invented Sex” fends off advancing singles from Birdman (“Money To Blow”) and Melanie Fiona (“It Kills Me”). Another of Songz’s singles, “Say Aah” (feat. Fabolous) is rising on the chart. It moves 12-8 thanks to airplay gains. Maxwell (“Bad Habits”) and Drake (“Forever”) round out this week’s top 10.
