Jordin Sparks is recuperating and feeling “better” after an unexpected hospital visit this week. Reportedly forced to scrap plans to perform in Australia Sunday, Sparks went in for an emergency surgery to have her appendix removed Wednesday. Well enough to log into Twitter after the surgery, Sparks told fans she plans to return to the stage in “the next week or so”. Thanking fans for support, Sparks went on to write “Feeling a little better but very sore. Thank you so much for your thoughts & prayers. It means so much & it’s so powerful.” Sparks released a sophomore album titled “Battlefield” earlier this year. It follows her post-American Idol win self-titled debut featuring the singles “No Air” and “Tatoo”.
